Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport is located in the Yubei District of Chongqing, People's Republic of China. The airport is a major aviation hub for airlines in western China. In 2014, it was awarded third place in the "Best Airport in the 25–40 Million Passenger Size" category by Airports Council International. Opened in 1990, Chongqing Jiangbei International replaced the older Baishiyi Airport. Its three-letter code comes from the city’s former English name: ChungKinG.
