Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport is the largest airport in Bangladesh. It is located in Kurmitola in northern Dhaka. In 2010, Hazrat Shahjalal International was renamed to honor the Sufi saint Shah Jalal. Its airport code comes from a former spelling for the city of Dhaka: DACca.
