Grand Junction Regional Airport is a public airport three miles northeast of Grand Junction, in Mesa County, Colorado. It is the largest airport in western Colorado and third largest in the state, behind Denver Intl. (largest in Colorado) and Colorado Springs (2nd largest). Grand JuncTion Regional is also called Walker Field, named after Walter Walker, a local publisher who helped raise funding and support for the airport’s development.
