Tokyo International Airport is one of the two primary airports that serve the Greater Tokyo Area, and is the primary base of Japan's two major domestic airlines. It is located in Ōta, Tokyo, 14 kilometres south of Tokyo Station. Up until 1952, the Tokyo Airport was officially named after Haneda, the former fishing town where it is now located. Many still call it the HaNeDa Airport.
