Rome Fiumicino Airport is Italy’s first airport and originally named after Leonardo da Vinci. It is located in Fiumicino the Metropolitan City of Rome and is is a major international airport in Rome, Italy. It lies 18.9 nautical miles southwest of Rome's historic city centre. The airport offers services of a great variety, such as convention facilities, conference rooms, banks, coffee shops, restaurants and shops. It covers an area of 29 square kilometres (7,200 acres).
