Southwest Florida International Airport is a county-owned airport in the South Fort Myers region of unincorporated Lee County, Florida. The airport is the second busiest single-runway airport in the United States. Renamed “International” in 1993, Fort Myers’ airport was originally regional only. It takes its airport code from Regional SouthWest.
