Wrocław–Copernicus Airport is an international commercial airport in Wrocław in southwestern Poland. It was renamed in 2005 after the famous astronomer Nicolaus Copernicus. Its airpot code honors its home in the city if WROclaw. The airport was built in 1938 as Flugplatz Breslau-Schöngarten Airport for German military purposes before World War II.
