Memphis International Airport is a civil-military airport 11.2 km southeast of downtown Memphis, in Shelby County, Tennessee. The airport is home to the FedEx Express global hub. It is the busiest cargo airport in the United States. In 1969, Memphis Municipal Airport changed its name to “International”, presenting MEMphis as a hub for international travel and cargo.
